Becoming a Feldenkrais Practitioner

Bonnie Rich Humiston, BSN, MS began her studies with Moshe Feldenkrais in 1972 and graduated from the first North American training in 1977. She has been active in the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education ever since: serving as two-time President of the Feldenkrais Guild® of North America (Guild), charter member of the International Feldenkrais® Federation Board of Directors, primary editor of the Amherst Training materials, chair of the North American Training Accreditation Board, also on boards and committees of the Guild. She is a member of the Legacy Forum and the group ‘Transformation of Trainings’.

Bonnie has a passion for helping others discover their own wellness and brought an extensive background in both traditional and holistic medicine to her Feldenkrais® work. As a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Assistant Trainer since 1991 and a Certified Feldenkrais Trainer since 2002, Bonnie’s work mentoring students and new graduates are her recent achievements.

Grants

Bonnie Rich Humiston Scholarship Fund Application

  • May be awarded to any applicant aged 35 years or younger who has the full intention of graduating from an Accredited Feldenkrais® Training Program in North America (Program) and will practice the Feldenkrais Method of somatic education. The Program will have an Educational Director in charge of the content.
  • Applicants must be pre-enrolled in a FGNA program and pending a grant award as declared in a letter from the Educational Director.
  • Applicants must be prepared to write and submit with their application an essay about themselves and describe why they would like to become a Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerCM.
