Bonnie Rich Humiston Scholarship Fund
Requirements for Application
May be awarded to any applicant aged 35 years or younger who has the full intention of graduating from a North American Accredited Feldenkrais Training Program in the United States or Canada and will practice the Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education in the United States or Canada. The Program will have an Educational Director in charge of the Curriculum.
Applicants must be pre-enrolled in an FGNA Training Program and pending a grant award as declared in a letter from the Educational Director.
The letter from the Educational Director will state that you agree to complete the Training Program in full and become certified. The letter will state that you are 35 years old or younger and that you are living in the United States or Canada and will practice the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education in the United States or Canada.
3 Steps to apply for the BRH Scholarship Fund
1. Complete the application form online: Attach letter from your Educational Director (PDF format), and your essay of not more than 1200 words (PDF format) in which you describe why you would like to become a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner.
2. Review of the Application: Upon submission, the review process will take 90 days or less. The review process will be done by the Board of Directors of FEFNA. Applications will be accepted until November 15th of each year.
3. Good Faith Agreement: In the event that the applicant who is awarded the scholarship does not complete the Feldenkrais® Training as agreed at the time of application, the applicant forfeits the scholarship money.
Funds
The Scholarship award is in the amount of $500.00 per year and will be awarded in the first quarter each year by the Board of Directors of the Feldenkrais Education Foundation of North America (FEFNA).
The Scholarship fund will be disbursed upon the applicant’s graduation from the North American Accredited Feldenkrais® Training Program, and proof of their FGNA Certification. Their Educational Director will then be notified.
